Are lash extensions bad for my eyelashes?

Lash extensions, when applied correctly and expertly, will not damage your natural lashes. This is because only a minimal amount of glue is applied to your eyelash so as not to limit its natural growth.

Are lash extensions noticeable to wear?

Your lashes won’t “feel” any different but they will look different – amazingly long and luscious!

Will it ruin or cause my natural lashes to fall out?

Based on the growth cycle of eyelashes, when applying lashes, lash stylists are trained to look for adult lashes to attach the individual synthetic lashes. Young (baby) lashes are left to allow them to fully develop and when it comes times to re-lash, we have new strong lashes to bond to. Lash extensions will not cause your natural eyelashes to fall out. Remember that your natural lashes have their own life cycle of falling and growing – like the hair found elsewhere on your body. It's hard to notice small lashes falling out, but when attached to a thicker, longer lash they become much more noticeable! Once the extensions are removed, your own eyes may appear smaller, your natural lashes, shorter and sparser because you've been accustomed to a full set of longer, thicker lashes.

Will they fall off when I wet them?

No, within 8 hours of your lash extension application you can swim and shower safely. Lash extensions are permanent or at least for as long as the normal life of each of your eyelashes. Your extensions will grow out and fall off with your natural lash cycle. They can also be removed if you decide you no longer wish to have extensions or have a break.

What are some of the benefits of lash extensions?

Lash extensions are completely and totally addictive. That’s because you will look glamorous from the time you wake up to the time you go to bed and eliminate your need to apply eyeliner or mascara. Even sans make-up, you will still look super glam!

Do I need to prep before my appointment?

Prior to your appointment, try your best to arrive without any eye makeup, do not curl your lashes or wear mascara the day before and the day of your appointment. It will help minimize the cleanup time and more time for lashing.

How do I maintain my lashes?

Lash extensions are super easy to take care of and maintain. You will need to use oil free products if they will come into contact with your lashes but just like your brows, a quick brush after showering will keep them looking great.

Can I apply mascara to my lash extensions?

Yes, however you must only apply water based mascara. DO NOT USE OIL-BASED OR WATER-PROOF MASCARA. Waterproof mascara and any type of oil based mascara dissolves the bonding agent of the extensions and causes them to fall out sooner. Also, take care in washing off all eye makeup. Only use a water based eye makeup remover.
